Parts and Gear Specialist

Join our growing team! We are looking for a Parts & Gear Specialist at our Power Pac - Marshfield location. We are an evolving network of three dealerships and are looking for energetic and passionate people who are ready to grow!

This is a full-time position, with hours ranging from 8:30am to 5:30pm Monday - Friday, and Saturday 8:30-2:30. The position is 40 hours a week with a chosen day off during the week if a Saturday is worked.

The right fit for this position will...

  • Be an ambassador. At the parts counter, you'll likely be one of the first people to interact with our customers. Be prepared to create ongoing relationships with them, because you'll be responsible for identifying their needs and recommending appropriate products like parts, gear, and equipment accessories. You'll be the reason they come back again and again!
  • Be a problem solver. Many customers come to Power Pac needing help with issues or problems and we love that. This candidate should love that too.
  • Be a listener and source of information. The Parts and Gear Specialist will help customers determine replacement parts after talking with them about their issue, inspecting old parts and reviewing parts diagrams.
  • Be a team player. You'll also be working with our sales team to provide quotes and recommendations for accessories on large units, both powersports and marine. You'll be their go-to and help them make sure the customer gets the right accessories for their needs and their machine.

And be great at all this other stuff:

  • Help merchandise parts, accessories and gear in the showroom and help to make it look great.
  • Receive & fill telephone or email orders for parts.
  • Advise customers on substitutions or modification of parts when identical replacements are not available.
  • Have fun selling powersports and marine parts, accessories and gear. At Power Pac, we are passionate about what we sell and we want you to be, too!
  • Take inventory of stock and keep the department efficient.

Qualifications:

  • Be somewhat mechanically inclined and be able to read a parts fiche or diagram
  • Be a friendly, people person that can shoot the breeze with the regulars and newbies that come to visit us
  • Get people excited about our products and willing to learn and train on the ins and outs of each of our product lines
  • Have a general knowledge of motorsports and marine equipment
  • Be proficient in the use of computers
  • Have at least one year of customer service experience
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Be goal-oriented and ready to take pride in their work and their team. You'll assist the team to meet department milestones at an exciting time for an evolving business

Powersports/Marine Technician

Join our growing team! Power Pac is looking for a Powersports or Marine Technician.

We are currently seeking a full-time, experienced powersports service technician for our service department at our Marshfield, Wis. location.

Job Summary:

The Technician is responsible for building, repairing, and servicing machines. They must be committed to staying up-to-date on warranty policies, unit safety updates, and product service trainings. They should enjoy learning new things, solving new challenges and being part of a kick-a#% team. They need to have strong time management skills, keep a level head, develop creative solutions, and provide strong customer service. Because that's our middle name. (Ok, not really but you get the idea). This is a full-time, 40 hours/week position, with hours ranging from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; Monday - Saturday (we close at 3:00 on Saturdays).

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Diagnose and repair powersports and power equipment with efficiency and accuracy
  • Accurately and clearly document repair findings and steps taken in repair orders
  • Work with the service manager by providing updates on the status of your work, estimates, communicating issues on machines, etc.
  • Work closely with the parts & service manager when parts need to be ordered
  • Accurately account for all time and materials on each project
  • Certified to work on major OEM brands is a plus
  • Listen to customer and provide recommendations to meet their needs while achieving the goals of the dealership
  • Keep work area and service department tidy
  • Be committed to routinely training and staying current on service bulletins and certifications from the brands we carry

Qualifications for position include:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Own set of tools
  • Capable of lifting up to 70lbs
  • 2-year technical education or 3-4 years of relevant on-the-job shop experience fixing units from major OEM brands
  • Powersports/Marine brand certifications preferred
  • In addition to powersports or marine experience, lawn and garden is a plus but not required
  • Minimum of three years' experience
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting aptitude
  • Awesome attitude, team player
