UFORCE FACE-OFF: Comparing the CFMOTO UFORCE 1000, U10 Pro, and Highland Editions
The number one question new UTV buyers have: which model is right for me? We'll be doing a series on the major manufacturers most popular models so you can make an informed purchase decision. First up: CFMOTO's UFORCE lineup.
CFMOTO’s UForce line has long served as a value-maximizing utility side by side platform. The UFORCE 1000 represents a mature, hard working workhorse with a V twin engine and a proven track record. Meanwhile, the newer U10 Pro / U10 Pro Highland are CFMOTO’s push into the “next generation” of utility UTVs — with a 3 cylinder engine, more advanced electronics, integrated comfort features, and a more refined cab experience.
In other words:
- UFORCE 1000 is rugged, familiar, and proven
- U10 Pro is the “modern refresh” bridging work and creature comforts
- U10 Pro Highland builds on U10 Pro with premium cabin, HVAC, and upgraded creature comforts
But what exactly changes from model to model? Let’s dig in.

Key Differences: What the Specs & Features Tell Us
Engine & Powertrain
- UFORCE 1000 uses a 963 cc V twin, liquid-cooled, SOHC, 8-valve design. It outputs around 71 hp and 54 lb-ft torque.
- The U10 Pro and U10Pro Highland use a 998 cc inline 3-cylinder engine with Variable Valve Timing (VVT). That gives a higher peak power and more flexible torque delivery.
- The U10 Pro is rated 88 hp at 7,250 rpm, with torque at 69 lb-ft at 6500 rpm.
- The Highland version essentially retains the same engine and drive architecture as the base U10 Pro, but adds premium features (HVAC, sealed cab, tuned sound deadening, etc.).
- Transmission:
- UFORCE 1000 uses a CVTech automatic P/R/N/H/L type design.
- The U10 Pro appears with CFMOTO’s new OmniDrive™ CVT (or simply CVT) with shift modes for Normal/Work, push-button shifting (E Shift), and more electronics.
- Highland has the same transmission approach as the U10Pro but is packaged with a fully enclosed, climate-controlled cab.
Suspension, Tires, & Off-Road Capability
- UFORCE 1000: independent A-arm suspension in the front and independent double A-arm suspension in rear with 14" cast aluminum wheels and 27" tires. Wheel travel: 9”.
- U10 Pro / Highland: Upgraded to 29" tires and similar suspension as the 1000 with high clearance independent A-arm suspension in the front and double A-arm independent suspension in rear. However, the U10Pro models are tuned for more wheel travel (e.g. 11" front wheel travel / 10.4" rear).
- Ground clearance: U10 Pro models are 13" clearance and 1000 is 11.4” clearance.
- Suspension tuning and ride comfort are likely improved in the U10 series, especially for cab ride quality, noise, and vibration, partially driven by the more compact 3-cylinder design.
Cargo, Towing & Load Capacities
- UFORCE 1000: cargo box with 1,000 lb capacity, tilting box assisted by gas struts, towing capacity of 2,500 lbs
- U10 Pro: Retains a 1,000 lb cargo box rating, but also includes electronic / hydraulic tilt for easier dumping. Towing capacity of 2,500 lbs
- Highland: Same base cargo & towing specs as U10 Pro, but with extra features (sealed tilting, electric power tilt, etc.)
Dimensions, Weight & Ergonomics
- UFORCE 1000: 116" L × 63.5" W × 73" H; wheelbase 80.7"; ground clearance 11.4"; dry weight 1,537 lbs.
- U10 Pro: 117"L × 64" W × 77" H; wheelbase 81.1"; ground clearance 13"; dry weight 1,742 lbs.
- Highland: dimensions are similar to U10 Pro but dry weight comes in at 1,949 lbs with the fully enclosed cab.
- Turning radius is comparable: 13.9’ for U10 Pro and Highland and 13.4’ for the 1000.
Comfort, Cab & Features
This is where the U10 Pro Highland really differentiates itself:
- UFORCE 1000 offers basic features: TFT display, tilt steering, bench for 3, basic electrical but not a sealed climate-controlled cabin as standard.
- U10 Pro upgrades the experience with:
- 8" RideSync™ touchscreen (TFT) with connectivity, maps, diagnostics.
- Push-button gear shifting (E-Shift) instead of more traditional lever shifting.
- Electronic parking brake, hill descent control, dual drive modes (Work / Normal)
- Highland’s additions include:
- Fully enclosed cabin as standard (glass doors, power windows, sliding rear glass, tilt-up windshield)
- HVAC (heating & air conditioning)
- Premium roof liner, sound deadening, embroidered seats, better sealing and insulation
- Additional safety/drive features: ABS, roof-mounted speed limiter (55 mph / 90 km/h) in some versions, mirrors, etc.
Price
- 2026 UFORCE 1000 has a starting MSRP of about $13,999 (plus freight/setup).
- The 2026 U10 Pro in the U.S. is listed at $17,499 MSRP (before options) for the base model.
- The 2026 U10 Pro Highland edition, with its full cab and comfort upgrades, starts at $24,499 MSRP.

So, which is right for you?
Here are some practical thoughts on which model might be best suited to you.
Best as a workhorse for rough use and value: UFORCE 1000
- If your priority is ruggedness, simplicity, and a tried-and-true architecture, the 1000 is a safe bet.
- Fewer complex electronics means less complications (though that also means fewer features).
- For many ranch, farm, or rough-forest scenarios where you're more concerned with hauling and durability than comfort, the 1000 offers excellent value.
Best for Balanced Use: U10 Pro
- Offers a modern package: more power, smoother performance, improved comfort and electronics — but without going full luxury.
- If you want a daily-use UTV that can handle work tasks but still be comfortable for occasional long outings or rough terrain, U10 Pro is a great choice.
- The push-button shifting, modern CVT, and upgraded suspension make it more refined than the older architecture of the 1000.
Best for All-Weather Comfort & Premium Features: U10 Pro Highland
- If you want to run year-round, in cold or hot weather, or just want a cab experience for comfort vs. an exposed machine, Highland is the premium pick.
- HVAC, sealed cab, power doors/windows, and premium tech bring a major comfort upgrade.
- You pay more for those amenities, so the ROI depends on how much you’ll actually use those features (e.g. winter work, hot summer days, regular passenger comfort).
